Our Wedding

Our Story

Our story began in the most unexpected of places: a hotel lobby. Diana was the hotel's manager, and Jacob was a long-term guest staying there for months. From the very beginning, Jacob did everything he could to get her attention: stopping by the front desk a little too often, asking a suspicious number of questions, and finding any excuse to talk to her. He swears they were all legitimate questions… Diana still isn’t convinced. One day, after months of building up courage (and probably rehearsing in front of the mirror), Jacob finally decided to ask Diana out on a date. The problem? Diana is not exactly a rule-breaker. But this time… she broke the rules. And thank goodness she did!From that first date, they became inseparable. They discovered they had so much in common, complemented each other perfectly, and it became clear, almost instantly, that they were meant for each other. One of those once-in-a-lifetime kinds of matches.

Their worlds blended in the sweetest way: Jacob learned more about Peru, Diana learned more about Alaska, and somehow that unlikely combination made perfect sense. Eventually they built a home together in Texas, where they’ve created a life full of love. And now, after already saying “I do” once, they can’t wait to celebrate their marriage again, this time with all of you.

First step is to get a flight to Jorge Chavez International airport in Lima-Peru. No Visa is required but you will need to have your passport ready! Note: Your passport cannot have an expiration date less than 6 months of your travel date. Our celebration will take place at Hotel Hacienda La Caravedo, located about 4 hours south of Lima, and getting there is part of the adventure! We can’t wait to celebrate with you in this magical place surrounded by vineyards, desert skies, and the warmth of Ica. Once you arrive in Lima, you have two options: Option 1 – By BusComfortable bus companies (like <a href="https://viajes.cruzdelsur.com.pe/search/lima/ica/2025-10-23/p/A1/departures" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Cruz del Sur </a>or <a href="https://www.perubus.com.pe/searchbus?fromcityID=195105&amp;tocityID=194943&amp;fromcity=Lima&amp;tocity=Ica&amp;datePicker=2025-10-23" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Peru Bus</a>) travel daily from Lima to Ica. Buses have reclining seats, Wi-Fi, and air conditioning. Once in Ica, we've arranged transportation from the bus terminal to the wedding venue, just let us know your date &amp; arrival time. ✨ We recommend booking your bus tickets online in advance. Option 2 – Rental CarIf you prefer a more relaxed trip, you can arrange a rental car from Lima directly to Ica. The drive takes about 4 hours, and you’ll be able to enjoy the trip at your own pace. How do I get there?

Our wedding venue is also a hotel, and we have a special discount just for you! There’s no minimum stay require, you can book just one night or as many as you need, but please make sure your stay includes the night of November 21st. There are rooms for 2 or 4 people, as well as bungalows for 5 or 6, so you can coordinate with other guests. Visitors can admire sea lions, Humboldt penguins, playful sea birds, and stunning rock formations, all set against the sparkling Pacific waters. A boat tour here is an unforgettable adventure and a must-see for nature lovers.
